Four students and two faculty members from the Foods and Nutrtition program will travel to the Northern Meru area of Kenya in summer 2011.

Dr. Jennifer Taylor, Colleen Walton, Christina Tucker and Kaylynne Parkes will be spending 3 weeks in Kenya in May while dietetic interns Amy Rawlinson and Harrison Blizzard while be working in the community for 12 weeks on several community nutrition projects with local elementary and secondary schools and families.

This adventure began in summer 2010 when Dr. Jennifer Taylor spent two weeks in Kenya while students Kaylynne Parkes and Christina Tucker worked in Kenya for 12 weeks.
